The activities of the roof continued. The ladies continued painting beams. The scaffolding was put up. The men were walking across the rooftop like gymnists. They were preparing the outside border of the roof for the laying of the beams. There were several team members building a pilla for the lady of the church. There was cooking going on in the kitchen for the Honduran workers. While all this was going on Mike, Orfilio and I went to Pastor G's church to pick up the trusses which were welded by men in Pastor G's church. As the week progressed, the trusses were put into place which was an amazing feat in itself. It was amazing to watch how they got each one of the beams in place. They tied the beams to a rope and ousted each one up individually. Unbelievable workmanship was taking place on this roof. Once the beams were in place they laid a course of blocks in between the trusses. The mortar was being mixed inside the sanctuary of the church. Thank you Boyce who cleaned up the mortar after the completion of the course of block. One sheet of tin at a time began to make this whole become a roof. Job well done good and faithful.
"Just as a body, though has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free and we were given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one body but of many."
I Corinthians 12: 12-14
