Worship Service

The evangelism team went door to door for six straight mornings and did VBS for five afternoons.  On their last day with these lovely people they had a worship service.  The team sang one song, several church members sang a song.  One of the young ladies of the Honduran church sang "Open My Eyes to My Heart Lord" in English.  This was a very touching moment for all of us when she had taken the time to learn a song in English to share with the North American team.  Marty Carty shared the gospel from the book of Ephesians, "Putting on the full Armor of God".  He used a visual for the children, belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, firm feet of peace, shield of faith, with which can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.  This got every ones attention when he starting throwing the sword of the Spirit on the floor rebuking all Satan's power.  At the end of the service the Hondurans gave each team member a gift of appreciation for working beside them in the community going door to door.  Marty Carty thanked them and presented the Pastor with a KJV study bible for him to continue studying and growing in the word of God.  Chais, team leader got up and thanked them as well for opening up their church and homes to the team.  At the end of the week the team through the guidance of the Holy Spirit led 93 people to Jesus Christ.  And all God's people said AMEN.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20

This past week a team came together from Campbell University, Duke University, UNC Carolina, East Carolina and NC State to spend their spring break sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with a very special community.  This was a reunion for Marty Carty and this village.  Marty Carty was here four years ago on our very first team as on site coordinators and evangelised with another group of people.  It was beautiful when God placed him there again to visit with some old friends and to see some of these people come to Jesus Christ this past week.  Our God is good all the time and all the time our God is so good.  Thank you young people for coming to Honduras to work along side other Christians in sharing the gospel.  We appreciate your commitment and it encourages us as well to continue going and making disciples of all nations.  We want to give all praise and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ for dying on the cross and then arose on the third day.
