Everyone who comes to Honduras falls in love with our four legged friends. They are loved by all who pass through the front gate of Mt. Horeb. We have a new four legged fried we adopted a couple of months ago, please welcome Carolina who also is expecting a little one in July. Oso has become more humble in his old age and lovable but we still respect his presence as always. Lassie is still the Queen of Mt. Horeb and our little social butterfly. We are grateful for these four legged friends and the joy they bring us on a daily basis. Each week teams learn the simplicity of life while staying at Mt. Horeb. The birds singing and building nest, the sun setting and watching Carolina going to the bodega where her food is stored waiting to be fed. Carolina is for our pleasure and not anything else. She was grazing earlier on the outside of the campus by a local who we gave permission to do this. We kept noticing how she did not have adequate water and she was not being checked on. So we basically asked could we take her over and care for her and she has been our blessing ever since. It is like Manuel said she had died and went to Heaven here on Mt. Horeb. We cannot save all the animals but we have saved three of them. We have been blessed daily by their presence.
