Home dedication and Church Service

The home was completed and the dedication was held inside the home with all the American and Honduran workers there. The team leader shared a few words and gave Pastor Hector and his family a lock and key and a family bible. One of the team member shared a photo album full of pictures of the week. There was a lovely rock shaped like a heart found by one of the team members. She had everyone sign it and presented it to the family. This was a very special time of dedication. Pastor Hector shared how he, his wife and two daughters have been waiting for three years for this home. Three years ago the nicely paved road to Oricuina was a dirt road and it took almost two hours to get there. Once the road had been paved it took only forty five minutes to get up to Pastor Hector's property. They were so excited to finally get their new home and they were so appreciative of what North Carolina Baptist had done for them. On Sunday we were able to worship at the church which Pastor Hector is going to pastor. The ladies of the team sang a beautiful hymn in English and one of the translators sang the chorus in Espanol. Their translator shared an inspiring testiomony of how we should never put off what the Lord has called us to do. Job well done. The children were dismissed for Sunday School and a couple of the team members went back to assist with Sunday School. The children of Honduras do not do crafts in Sunday School. They learn a bible verse and a song to come back out to the congreation and share. This was a very loving congreation and they are so blessed to be getting such a godly man as Pastor Hector.
