Sunday Worship VBS and a Prayer Walk

The team came prepared to give their testimonies and Steve, team leader shared a sermon.  Thank you, Connie and Joe, who shared how God has worked in your lives.  Praise be to God when we allow God to use us in mighty ways. Thank you for sharing with us. The children eagerly awaiting for VBS to open the doors.   Three of the ladies, Amy, Sara, Leigh Ann and Egla, our translator, enjoyed times of singing, bible stories, crafts and some outside activities with beach balls and soccer balls.  Thank you ladies for all you did to bring joy to the children during VBS.  On Tuesday morning  all the ladies went on a prayer walk.  Paula and Sandra shared how welcoming the people were of them just dropping in to share Jesus and to pray with them.  One family had a newborn baby who the ladies got to meet and pray over.  They gave each family they visited a bible.  Thank you for going out into the community to share Jesus and to pray with the people.

Mrs. Connie shared a poem during her testimony called "Footprints in the Sand"
Please read carefully and I pray we all allow God to do for us what we cannot.

Footprints in the Sand

One night a man had a dream,
He dreamed he was walking
along the beach with the Lord,
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life,
He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
one belonging to him, the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path,
there was only one set of footprints.

He recalled that it happened
at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
He questioned, Lord, "You said that once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.  Then, why
during the most troublesome times in my life , the times
when I needed you the most, would leave me?"
The Lord replied,"My precious, precious child,
I love you and would never never leave  you.
During your times of trials and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints, it was
then that I carried you."
