The team arrived at the top of the embankment to find a dear sweet 78 year old Honduran lady named Carmen Maradiaga. She is a widow with 11 children, 36 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. I had the privilege of meeting her latest great grand daughter about a month ago, not knowing this little one was Carmen's great granddaughter. It is a small world after all. Carmen asked if she would like to say anything before we started introducing the team and Honduras brothers and sisters. Carmen thanked God first and foremost for much answered prayer. The existing home is 90 years old and is definitely a home when it rained Carmen got wet. She thanked God for this blessing from God and the North Americans. She began sharing about how God has blessed her with wonderful children. She shared how they are all different in many ways but she loved them all equally. It was very obvious family means so much to our new friend Carmen. God blessed us with her genuine love for family and friends. Thank you Carmen to the beginning of a wonderful week serving the Lord by providing you a new house which will quickly become a home.
Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
