The day before the home dedication was the famous Marie's chicken soup for all to enjoy. Marie and Irma, along with Irma's sister came out and started setting out their plastic tables and putting out their finest table clothes. Marie was so proud and humbled to serve the North American team along with the Honduran workers. It was beautiful how she had prepared this special meal where everyone could enjoy it together. What southern hospitality the Honduran women have. We are pretty sure there was several chickens who gave their lives for this beautiful feast. Thank you Marie and ladies who blessed us tremendously this beautiful Honduran day.
Our sweet sister Marie gets joy out of cooking for others. I can always count on a mid morning snack and then two hours later a delicious lunch from the kitchen of Marie. Actually Marie can take anyone's kitchen and make a delicious Honduran cuisine. We are blessed beyond words for this lady's service to our Lord in her gift of cooking.
