Visiting the Island of Amapayla

This last blog is a view of Amapala. The team worked hard that week to share Jesus Christ but were blessed with beautiful people and a beautiful island. It is always amazing to me how we have the beauty of God's creation all around us and we get too busy to enjoy it. This week at this time Forest City Baptist was able to take in the beauty of God's creation and share His Word with many people. Many did not receive Jesus that week but many seeds were planted. We need to continue to pray for those who have received Christ, they will grow in the Word and for those who still have doubt. Forest City was the light for the people of Ampala that week. Pastor Vilchez goes each week to the island which is about forty minutes one way by boat and road to share the gospel with these people. Let's pray for him as well as he continues to bring the lost to Christ and to shepherd his flock. "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven." Matthew 5:14-16 Thank you Forest City Baptist for being the light for the people of Amapala. God is good all the time. All the time God is good.
