After lunch on Sunday we paid a visit to another village who we find needed some helping decorating for their Mother's Day Banquet. The Honduran churches have a huge banquet for all the mothers of the church on Mother's Day. This particular church family was spending Sunday afternoon putting out their decorations which consist of blowing up numerous balloons, cutting out hearts and circles. Our team pitched right in and assisted the church family with getting the sanctuary ready for the evening ahead. The program is the church band plays music for the ladies while they sit around decorated tables. There are prizes given to certain mothers. The men of the church provide a hot meal which they served the ladies at the end of the evening. After the hot meal there is a cake for dessert. This is such a precious way to say thank you to all the mothers in Honduras who work so hard for their families as well as for their church families.
