Each day Ingrid provided lunch for all the Honduran workers. Each day as they were fed the children were coming home from school and dropping by Ingrid's home for their lunch as well. Ingrid not only fed her own children but the other chiildren who lived around her home. We shared earlier how there was not a door on their existing home. Well I see why now. Her home is where everyone came to gather. People were in and out all day every day we were there. She greeted every one with her beautiful smile. One of the lunches was chicken and rice which my friend Karen thoroughly enjoyed. There was another great meal which consisted of rabbit and rice. Teodoro went out the evening before and killed two rabbits to feed the workers the next day. The children had rice and milk for their lunch. Ingrid was the lady of hospitality. Ingrid had other ladies of the community who assisted her in the kitchen each morning. The community came together to get all the jobs on this project completed.
