The Chief Cornerstone

 

After all the preparations for the first block to be laid the time had come.  Maida, our translator, asked for the Petrimilo and Alicia to come and place their hand on the first block.  Team leader, Steve, asked for everyone to gather around the couple and place their hands on someone so we all were connected as one in Christ.  This was the beginning of God's hand in all we did for this family.  Brother Darryl led the prayer over the first block.  The Lord spoke through Brother Darryl in a mighty way as Darryl prayed this house to become a home of refuge and a home who others would see Jesus daily.  This was a very special time in the life of this family and their future together.  What a precious gift from God, a home where you will be safe and not in danger with a door and a lock and a key.  A place where they will be dry during the rainy season.  These are things so many of us take for granted and others would love to have.  This prayer over the first block is a meaningful ceremony where we place the week ahead in the hands of God as he leads and guides our every move.  Thank you God for providing all we needed this week to get your work here on earth completed.  Once again Alicia cried tears of joy as her dream was coming true.  Petrimilo as well thanked God for this amazing gift.
