Home Dedication

As Sr. Domingo made his way to the shade trees behind his new home he stopped to see where the pilla was going.  His daughter helped him and explained to him it needed to be finished.  Pastor Carlos shared a family member from Tegus would be coming to finish this part for him.  He has a form on the other side of the home into the door so he doesn't have to step up so high.  These 800 blocks has become a reality for Sr. Domingo and Marie.  It sets beautifully on the property with mountains in the background.  There is one small detail I need to share with you about this project which is different from any project we have done in the last ten years.  Do you see the two pictures of the gables going in, well we arrived on the job site that day to see Pastor Carlos on the ground watching, yes he did not help with the gables going in this time.  This is the first time in our time with Pastor Carlos he did not help put the gables in or put the roof on.  Actually he did not help with the floor either.  We joked and said Pastor Carlos was on vacation this week.  Thank you Hopewell for doing an outstanding job!!!!!! 

We all gathered under the  trees as Pastor Larry started the home dedication.  He read several different scriptures Ephesians 2:19-22, Psalm 18:1-3, Joshua 24:15 and Revelation 1:18.

  He shared how this house is now a home completed to glorify our Heavenly Father in this community.  What a privilege it was for our team to be a part of this important day in the lives of these two lovely people.  Every time Pastor Larry read scripture Yenifer was looking everyone of them up and reading them with him.  What a gift this will be for Sr. Domingo and Marie for Yenifer to be able to read the Bible to them and for Sr. Domingo to elaborate with his years of wisdom for his Lord and Savior to his granddaughter a new believer.  We are not sure if Yenifer's husband is a believer so this will be a challenge for her to share the gospel with him and her son.  This week the house was build but the foundation of Jesus Christ was established in this little corner of Honduras where others will hear the good news of Jesus Christ.  Pastor Larry presented them with their family Bible as we all were thinking Yenifer will be reading it to them hopefully everyday God gives them breathe on this side of Heaven.

Pastor Larry gave him the key to his new home and we all followed him around to the front door.  He stood there gently trying to unlock his new home.  As the lock clicked and he pulled it off, he pushed opened his new door into his mansion up on that hillside.  Honestly if you were not there you could not even imagine how humbling and beautifully that moment unfolded for all of us standing there.  There was tears of joy from all nationalities.  Marie invited us all into her home.  The group sang "Victory in Jesus in English, then the Hondurans sang it in Spanish as Sr. Domingo ended her week crying tears of joy for her parents new home.  Thank you Pastor Larry, Sandy, Carrie, Morgan, Cassie, Dallas G, Dallas H, Garrett, Rick, David, Brian, Tyke, Cam and Brennan for answering the calling and being obedient for this lovely couple who will forever change all our lives for their betterment of the Kingdom Work.
