Welcome these two young men and a father and son team, Jason and Rome. Mike and I were blessed and humbled by these two young men. Jason shared during his devotional that he went to church and did good things but I was not a child of God. I followed all the rules, Jason shared, but did not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Jason had cancer for seven years but if I would have died during that time I would have went straight to hell. God's grace saved my life. AMEN Jason!!!! Jason has such a heart wrenching testimony! How many of us are good people and do good things but do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who died on the cross for sins. Jason shared how we can trust in Jesus only and Jesus is the only way for any of us. Jason's testimony that evening overflowed into his week working for Jesus and loving on the children at VBS. Jason's salvation has enabled him to serve His Lord but give His Lord and Savior full credit for all he now does.
The story gets even better. Rome shared a devotional one evening as well. He is a new Christian as of January 6, 2019. He fought God for one year and a half. Rome shared how his Dad and Uncle Brian talked about Jesus all the time and how Jesus had changed their lives. He heard this about everyday because he worked with his dad and Uncle Brian. Rome was surrounded by Jesus yet he fought Jesus for one and half years. Rome was in church on January 6 and heard the sermon "Making a big deal about Jesus" and he finally said OK God I want this true joy and peace I can only find in your son Jesus Christ. Rome said as soon as he accepted Christ the most profound peace came over his life. I remember Rome sharing at the end of his testimony this is not much but I hope it will help any of you all here in this circle tonight. Little did Rome know, his testimony caused team member Aubrey to rededicate her life to the Lord later than evening. Pastor Larry shared we all have a story to tell and we do not know when and who our story my effect. We all need to share our story and be bold for Jesus so others can receive the greatest gift of all Jesus Christ, like Jason, Rome and Aubrey. Thank you God for this amazing family and how much we came to love them this week. Amen y amen
