Home Dedication

 

All the baking and cooking in the last three months has finally paid off.  I was very blessed to be a part of the home dedication along side Pastor Pedro.  I was able to present the lock and key and the family Bible to Rudy and Cindy.  I started out sharing our gratitude for all the people who came out to help make this house a home and thank Patty, Karen and Cindy for all the delicious meals.  Then I shared about the two different kinds of protection.  There is the physical protection, the lock and key which I presented and gave to Cindy.  At this time I shared about the spiritual protection which can only come from God's Word.  I shared with this young couple how Abby is almost here but she can hear all we are saying right now which means this Bible needs to be read to her by the both of you daily until God brings her into this world. I quoted Proverbs 22:6 and Joshua 24:15.  Each day they need to read the Bible to her and to each other and grow in the strength of God's Word in their marriage and in their family. At this time Meida read Ephesians 6:4 to Rudy and Cindy.  In the background I could hear Pastor Carols, Pastor Pedro, Tino and Karen reciting this Bible verse from memory. This home was not built by Mike and Ginger or Pastor Carlos and the Honduran helpers or Mrs. Barbara it was build by God.  This home was all provided by God. God's provision is all we need daily and this today is the perfect example of God's provision.  We were all simply God's hands and feet and were all obedient to His calling to build this home for your family.  God's perfect timing is always such a gift.  So today I want to say congratulations on your new journey with your new home.  In about a month Abby will be coming home to her new home and will be forever blessed to have you as her mommy and daddy.  At this time I handed Rudy the family Bible.  At this time everyone laid hands on the home as Pastor Pedro prayed over this home.  We prayed over the first block and we closed out the project with dedicating the home to the Lord.  At this time Rudy and Cindy with tears flowing gave God all the praise first and thank God for each of us who provided them with a home they could not have done on their own.  At this time they open the front door to their new home and said thank you to all of us.  Thank you Mrs. Barbara and Faith Community Church of Geneva New York for also being the hands and feet of Jesus and all your prayers were greatly appreciated and answered as well.  Amen y amen.
