Mrs. Barbara along with the help of Pastor Kevin and Ruth figured out how to get to pray over first block. Mrs. Barbara is from Geneva New York which is actually our first team from New York and we are forever grateful for Faith Community Church. Thank you for your prayers for this very day to happen and for my sweet sister Barbara to be put on speaker phone and used Meida our translator to help her pray over the first block. As the moment slowly approached us I got teary eyed and emotional just thinking about all Mrs. Barbara had done to get to this moment. I was humbled beyond words once she started talking because she shared from heart how this house was going to become a home where Abby will grow up knowing Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and this home will be grounded in Jesus Christ by Rudy and Cindy. I thought she was actually praying but then she shared let us pray. Mrs. Barbara used the word JOY, my favorite word in the Bible, (she did not know this at the time) in every sentence of prayer over the first block. She did a beautiful job working along side of Meida, our translator and Meida was able to follow her perfectly. It was a moment I simply wish everyone could have experienced personally. Our God is so big as Mrs. Barbara always and on this bright and beautiful day in La Ero Blanco God shined brightly and boldly. To God be all the glory!!!!! By the way Mrs. Barbara was at her Tuesday morning bible study along with Ruth and three more ladies. Mrs. Barbara informed me all these ladies had helped build this home as well by purchasing something she had baked. What a JOY to have these ladies with us as well praying over the first block, the cornerstone of this home. Amen y amen.
