The fence project was more than we all bargained for but it never stopped these twenty five men. As well as putting on the roof and welding the beams for the roof Ernesto was in charge of the poles and gate for the fence with his assistants Yobani and Yoni. The men were digging out the entire perimeter of the school grounds and placing boulders inside the ditches and then concreting the ditches to place the poles into their proper spot. Then they started putting the screen around the poles to secure the school grounds. The reason they wanted a fence to secure the school grounds showed up one day while we were having lunch. The cows roam freely here in Honduras but they always seem to know how to get back home at the end of the day. Well these beautiful creatures roam on the school grounds and poops as they are passing through. The children cannot play on the grounds because of the massive piles of cow poop. So I turned and looked up at the herd as they were passing through and informed them this would be their last visit on this school campus because tomorrow the gate will be up securely for these precious Honduran children.
