As we were eating our soup and I had already had a God moment from O'Neal asking for a Bible, Ms. Jessica came up to me and asked if Pastor Carlos could preach to the group. I asked her to go to Pastor Carlos with her request. Interestingly Pastor Carlos had his Bible with him and he was prepared to share the Word of God with over fifty men, women and children. Folks this is what a lot of us had been praying for the two weeks of this project. You see this school was just a tool to get to know these sweet great people only to find out they are lost and do not know Jesus Christ at all. What a gift from God this beautiful day in Cerro Maranan. Not only did Pastor Carlos preach the Word but he shared with them out of John 15 and Colossians 3 how we have a choice on this side of heaven. We can choose to live in the world and go to hell or we can choose to live our lives for Jesus Christ and we cannot do it alone. We have the power of the Holy Spirit if we choose to receive Jesus Christ. He also shared it is a daily relationship and repentance in Jesus Christ. He shared how Mike and Ginger get up every morning at 4:30 or 5:00 to read, study and pray over their day ahead. They cannot do this ministry work without the help of God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. As he said that one lady looked over at me and I looked back at her and said, "Si, solo Jesus". She smiled and I prayed she would come to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Before the end of the service Pastor Carlos was asked would he please come back and share with them more about this Jesus they know nothing about. He said of course. They are meeting in a lady's home behind the school next week. Pastor Carlos is taking his disciples from his church he preaches at weekly with him to help with this worship service. We also gave Noel a bible upon his request. Please pray with us this community will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Pastor Carlos asked for twenty Bibles to take with him next week. They have been purchased and ready to go into the hands of some lost souls who we can all pray will come to know Jesus Christ!!!!!
Please imagine receiving this book for the first time and not knowing where any of the books in the bible are located. This will be one of Pastor Carlos' challenges next week. He will hand out the bibles and this is where his disciples will come into play. They will be available to sit near someone to help them find the scripture reference Pastor Carlos will be sharing from. So many prayers have been answered and we give God all the glory for this wonderful and beautiful opportunity. The school dedication was beautiful but the introduction of Jesus Christ to this community was far better than any school dedication. Halleluiah Praise Your Name God. Some prayer requests are:
Pastor Carlos can mentor a young man to be the leader of the spiritual church, I know you I want but who does God want. Pastor Carlos will discern from God who this man will be.
Numerous folks will turn out next week to the worship service.
Safety for Pastor Carlos and his disciples as they travel to the community and return to their families next week.
I pray we will need more Bibles for the next service!!!!
