This week Mt. Moriah Baptist Church along with several other churches came to Honduras to serve their Lord with Monte de Horeb Ministries. They enjoyed the culture, the food and the time sitting on the porch every afternoon catching up on what both different teams had gotten completed. When folks come to Honduras you never know what God will have you do. Our beautiful Cassie with that gorgeous smile right corner was able to get out of her comfort zone this unknown to me when I asked her to read the scripture in church. I did not realize she was shy because she talked to me on the North American porch every morning while waiting for the rest of the team to join us. She always welcomed me with a big hug and her smile. So way to go Cassie!!!! My new friend Eddie got out of his comfort zone on the second morning of the construction project when Mike did not go out with them because we had to go to town to get medicine for the medical team. Eddie shared with me that evening he had gathered up everyone and prayed before they got started. Eddie had not ever prayed in public before and now Eddie has confidence in the Lord to use him as HE sees fit. Praise God for Eddie and all he did for the Lord this week at the job site.
Where do I begin to talk about the trio of ladies, Tammy, Jessica and Becky who practiced so many hours on zoom and in person on their family vacation prior to coming to Honduras. The last Sunday they were in worship with Mt. Moriah Baptist Church they sang their song in Spanish for the congregation. The song is from a verse in the bible from 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 which Mateo preached on in church on Sunday in Honduras, which you will read about later in the blog. There were so many more stories just like these which took place this week. This group allowed God to stretch them beyond themselves in so many ways and only God can get the praise and honor for all this. To God be the glory!!!!! Amen y amen.
