Enjoying The Culture of Honduras

This quaint little island home was their home away from home for six days.  They were so blessed with Maida who cooked all their meals for them except lunch.  Maida got up at four each morning to prepare their hot brew of Honduran coffee.  The aroma soon woke up several of our friends who were sleeping outside the window of the kitchen in their hammocks. They enjoyed delicious cuisine of shrimp and rice one evening, pancakes with honey one morning and several mornings of refried beans, homemade tortillas and eggs for breakfast.  There was two special birthdays during their stay on the island, Ray the team leader and Orfilio one of our staff members.  So they had Smurf  birthday cake and a Honduran tradition of egg and flour on the tops of their heads.  The team came together and handmade both gentlemen a birthday card.  Their was other excitement as well that week, a scorpion shows up for a visit on the job site and the team could not keep Nick out of the coconut trees.

"That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us, and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ."
1 John 1:3
