Gorge and Nery Watching the Blocks Become a Home

Each day the team worked diligently on those 800 blocks and 50 bags of cement placing them into what soon would become a home.  Gorge stood back on day four upon his arrival in awe of his hew home.  How God finally asked his prayer along with prayers answered for First Baptist Raleigh. Without the willingness of these folks coming here and then driving their lengthy trip daily this could not have happened.   God orchestrated all of these long before we did.  God is always in control of every detail right up to the police check point where we met this sweetheart of a man who always smile.  He wanted his wife and son to have a safe place to live near her family while he worked his long hours.  We were blessed to get to meet Gorge that day and we thank God for sending him our way.
Dennis and Tom got the roof up and running.  The entire team pitched in to get the floor completed. There was a lot of family and friends who showed up to help this project come to completion.  What a great witness for the Lord when strangers come together and become one in just five days.

A song of ascents. Of Solomon. Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
Psalm 127:1
