After praying up the day and introduced ourselves to the family everyone knew this part of the project may be a little disarrayed. But they came in using a new word I learned from another group of young people, "Flexitive" . They came in with an amazing positive attitude and flexibility was with them as well. They all went about doing what was ask to get ready for the first block to be laid. Christian took the metal tool box off the Kia and brought it over and place it on the ground. He is the second individual who has done this in my seven years here in Honduras. Some started unloading the truck, the doors, boards etc. The gentlemen of the team took my advice as I shared how a previous group of young people watched Pastor Carlos and placed all four cornerstones into place themselves. So they all helped Pastor Carlos get them set. The ladies were helping Jose sift the sand and learned the recipe for making mescal. Every person was busy helping out wherever the need. This was a busy little corner of God's creation on July 28th. Caleb during devotions one evening shared how he saw joy in the community. This week we came to bless but were blessed by far more than anyone can imagine. He shared the scripture below during his devotional. Kara shared how hot is was during the first day of the project but how God provided a breeze at just the right time. Thank you God for allowing these young people for seeing Jesus at work. Page shared how we need to be the fruit of the Spirit daily here and at home like our friends in Honduras are living out daily.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9
Galatians 6:9
Sacrifice and offering you did not desire-- but my ears you have opened -- burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require. Psalm 40:6
The team also enjoyed the delicious physical fruits of this beautiful country as well.
