Team leader, Joel, we want to say thank you for setting the example for your team and working along beside of them. As Dianna shared one evening, Joel not only led his team by working very hard each and everyday but he came prepared to share God's Word each evening this year. Joel took a different turn on devotionals this year instead of assigning the team members to do devotionals he picked a theme for the week with a lot of prayer involved and each evening Joel touched on the topic of being called. He pulled from old testament and new testament scripture and challenged his team spiritually with a thought or question. As well as the spiritual food he took the time on the first day and taught his new team members, Bill, Pastor John and Dianna how to lay the blocks the Honduran way. Joel patiently worked for about thirty minutes on this task until his friends knew how to lay the block correctly. Of course Mike comes along and gives his take on how to lay block as Joel looked at me and smiled. Everyone has their own style of placing the mortar onto the blocks. Do whatever is best for you, Mike!!!!!
Thank you Joel for your respect for your Heavenly Father first and listening to His calling for your life to lead a team to Honduras. Thank you for teaching them by example of how you live out your life for the Lord. Thank you for working so hard even when it is hard work and hot temperatures. Thank you so much for your humble and kind heart and how you said "yes, here am I send me."
