While Kim, Erica and Steve were off with the children one last time the roof was going up. Everyone commented on how pleasant the weather was for this task. Thank you to the two Mikes who worked side by side and got this done in under forty five minutes. These two Mikes worked very well together as they shared in the final phase of making this house a home. But as the roof was going up Ray's luck finally ran out. Ray was cleaning up the job site collecting the ministry buckets. Pastor Carlos who was on the ground for this roofing project said Ray you have too many buckets. Ray started counting the buckets he was fixing to load onto the Kia. Pastor Carlos was right, Ray was stealing one of the community buckets. Ray and I shared the day before about this word "luck". We both agreed in the Christian walk there is no such thing as luck or chance. God is our faith, our trust and our Lord. Everything happens for a reason and not because of luck. So folks please know God is not in the business of luck but of grace, mercy, hope, joy, peace, love and miracles which all happen in His own timing. Who wants luck when you have God, right Ray?
Love you Ray and how awesome God allowed this to happen coinciding with our conversation on the word 'luck". God's timing is always perfect.
