The team entered the church with hugs and welcomes from the church family of Pavana. Meida made her way to the front of the church to get the order of service together. They started the service in an opening prayer and welcome. Ginger came forward to read the scripture of the day Psalm 150. They sang many praise songs and took up their offering. Pastor John then came forward to bring a very profound message to us all from John 8:1-8. God gives us many chances to start over. We are not to condemn one another. We are all valuable in God's eyes. All of us. So we as Christians are not to condemn others. They made the woman in front of everyone to be condemned. What do you think the woman in this bible passage felt as she was being publicly condemned in front of her neighbors and friends. She probably felt beaten up and probably carried a lot of guilt because of her many sins. Do we beat ourselves up when we sin against God. A lot of people arrived very early at the temple to hear Jesus share about eternal life. Teachers of the law were not there at the temple instead they were out condemning this woman of her many sins. Jesus stood next to the woman they were condemning verbally, and said, "Is anyone here who is without sin pass the first stone?" The Pharisees and Sadducees thought they were better than this woman. We are all the same as this woman, sinners saved by God's Grace and Mercy. We are not without sin. What happen next in verse nine was most interesting. Jesus was the only one left standing with the woman. Pastor John shared I wonder how long it took for the last person to leave that location where Jesus asked his profound question? Do you see any order to this message from God? First we need to come to Jesus then we need to give Jesus our problems. We need to deal with Jesus personally first before handing him our problems. We need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ before we give Him anything. Once we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, He will give us an advocate called the Holy Spirit who dwells with inside a child of God. So we do not have to handle our problems alone God sends us an advocate who takes care of all our needs and problems. Thirdly we all think we have to clean up our act before coming to Christ. We need to do it ourselves, fix our own problems. Then sadly what happens we end up dying and never receiving the greatest gift of all Jesus Christ. Because we tried to fix everything ourselves. Jesus will restore us if we only allow Him to come into our lives. God provides his perfect Grace. Even though our sins hurt God deeply He still loves us even more deeply. God helps us with strength to endure our pain and suffering as sinners. In Philippians 4:13 Paul says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Jesus wants us to come to Him with our problems first. WILL YOU COME TO JESUS TODAY AND GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIM.
