This moment of our project is always bittersweet. We gathered around to dedicate the home. Pastor John led the dedication with opening with prayer. He proceeded to thank everyone for allowing his team to serve along side of them this week to build Yobani and Iris' home. John read from Psalm 127 which says unless the Lord builds the home the labor is in vain. He challenged Yobani and Iris to make Jesus Christ the center of their home each and every day. John presented Yobani with the family bible and a bible story book for the children. The team and family gathered around the home as John prayed a prayer over the finished product. John asked Yobani did he want to say something to the group. After several minutes of trying to get his composure, wiping tears from his face he finally thanked God first and then the group. Pastor Carlos shared a few words as well as Mike on how grateful we are to have Yobani a part of the Mount Horeb family. We are blessed to have you Yobani. At last John finally gave Yobani the key to his new home where he unlocked it and he and his family entered their home for the first time as a completed home. Throughout the week Yobani and the children would go in and check out the block work and Yobani would do something which he thought needed to be done but this time entered to a home which was made out of love for Jesus Christ and there he stood at the threshold of his home with the sweetest and most grateful smile as well as his girls. What a beautiful day for a dedication. God gave us a little cloud coverage and a small breeze to enjoy.
