Few More Extra Touches on Last Day

The last day was not any different from the entire week.  This team came out to put a roof up but did so much more. What touched my heart the most was Alberto being the man of the family at the age of 11 was curing the floor for his

new home.  He worked all week but this last morning there he was doing what Pastor Carlos probably told him to do cure his new floor.  We were all touched and blessed by his actions.  The ladies picked up the trash all around the property as well as clean those muddy doors. Pastor Carlos' ladies came ready to serve wherever needed.  They got a pail of water and off to clean those muddy doors back to brand new.  All the ladies participated, Bailey, Taylor, Theresa, Danielle, Mrs. Becky and Alix.  They worked the entire time they were up on the roof.  They were not satisfied until every crumble of mud was gone off that door.  Bailey came out of the house looking on the ground for a stone or stick or something to get some deeply embedded mud off the door.  It was not until Pastor Carlos saw her searching for just the right scrapper did it not become funny.  He looked at Bailey threw out both hands and said Que Pasa Bailey?  I suppose you just had to be there to experience how precious that moment was between the two of them.  All these words and pictures cannot ever touch the beauty of Honduras.  You simply need to come for yourself to feel, smell, taste touch and hear what beauty lies awaiting all of you in this place we call our "happy place".  It always amazes me how people come here week after week getting out of their comfort zones to temperatures which are not what they are use to.  They are removed from their world of technology if they allow themselves and they work and get so dirty each day coming back to Mount Horeb with joy only you can find by simply say Yes to God to his calling for your life.  When we are obedient to His calling we will be beyond blessed with the simplest of life's pleasures. So if you are reading this today and God has called you to go and get dirty and hot in His Name then you might want to listen and be obedient.  I promise you will never look back!!!!

Glad I did ten years ago.  God is so good and all the time God is so good.
