Friends Become Family

This week Bob and Derek were beyond blessed with the love of this very special family God placed in our lives ten years ago.  The laughter and the tears of the little ones each day brought such joy to Bob and Derek.  They both love children and they were definitely in the right place this week to get love from some amazing children and young people. Bob and Derek observed how Fernando and Juan Carlos seldom spoke to each other throughout the week but they were there for each other and they both knew it.  Sometimes words are not necessary just gestures and actions sometimes speak volumes.  These two brothers worked side by side all week creating a home which they will be able to raise their own children in one day.  They are saving the left over blocks and cement to put a dividing wall in there so they both can have their own space once they form their own families.  The love showed on this property this week will bless Bob and Derek a very long time.  The love they received here was genuine and sincere love.  Yes they were receiving a home but this little family would love you if you gave them absolutely nothing.  So yes this week friends became family for Bob and Derek as well as for this family of ten.  God blessed everyone involved this week with a new perspective on what family truly is, helping each other in God's perfect timing.  

So Mike and I were doubly blessed this week.  Why, because Bob and Derek and their church family are our family and have been for eight years.  We are forever blessed to have know this church family and only by God's perfect timing did this church family come into our lives.  So in saying this we also love this Honduran family who is our family as well.  We knew exactly who was to build this very special family a home and it was our very special family, Bob and Derek.  Thank you God for putting so many special people in the lives of Mike and Ginger.  If we had not been obedient ten plus years ago this week would have never taken place.  Please think of all the blessings we all would have missed out on if we had said not to God because of so many reasons and excuses we as North American Christians can come up with.  Grateful to YOU HEAVENLY FATHER for choosing Mike and I to be your hands and feet here in Honduras. Now we have so many Hondurans and North Americans we can call family.  Family does not always have to be blood my friends.  Forever I give you praise and honor GOD!!!!!
