VBS

After walking door to door all morning this team came back together to share Jesus Christ with the children of Orocuna.  Pastor Wayne led the Bible Story each day with the assistance of Meida.  Pastor Wayne told the Bible Story to the children from his heart.  The Words of God came flowing off of Pastor Wayne's mouth as he shared about each story.  How beautiful it was to see God's Word shared from your heart and the passion Pastor Wayne has for God's Word was evident in the way he presented the stories.  God's Words came right off the page out into the audience each day of about 60 children.  Prior to Pastor Wayne sharing the story the team got the sanctuary prepped up for the Vacation Bible School  The chairs had to be lined up and Pastor Wayne got with Meida to let her know where the Bible story would be coming from.  Last minute plans up on the stage amongst Julie, Holly and Bobby daily to see that they were all on the same page.  It was a joy to watch these little ones with contentment on their faces coloring a picture which reflected the Bible Story each day.  Bobby shared how impressed he was when he observed the little four years old coloring so well.  They wanted to do their best to please their teachers this week.  Grateful for these little ones and how they always bring joy to our lives.  They especially enjoyed the parachute and soccer outside after their structured time inside the church.  The team was very grateful for their translators and their different personalities which enabled the team to have a very successful week.  Humberto was a humble giant who was bold in his witness, Ronny loved the children and loved sharing Jesus Christ with others and then of course our Meida who does a phenomenal job week after week. We are blessed to always have godly and ready to serve translators.

Holly shared in her devotional one morning how she was attacked by Satan with some health issues.  If Satan had won she would have missed out on many blessings this week being with these precious children.  Holly worked hard on making the sentence strips for the memory verse each day in Spanish of course.  They would present the Bible verse in three different strips.  Each time the children recited the verse they would remove one strip until there was not a strip showing at all.  These little ones soak up God's Word like a sponge.  If Holly had not been strong in God's Word and let Satan win she would have missed out on so many blessings.  Thank you all who helped Holly get the VBS put together.  Well done good and faithful servants.
