El Tablon, Colonia de Oriente and San Miguel

After finishing up at Camp Betel we picked up Egla, our translator for the day. Our next stop was El Tablon, Pastor Benjamin. Twelve years ago Deep Impact built the church, Resurrection. Pastor Benjamin is a joy and pleasure to work beside. We asked him what his desires were this year and he requested for someone to spend time talking to the young people about respect, about our bodies being the temple of the Holy Spirit and living our lives for Christ Jesus. So Tom got all excited about this and the three men started discussing who and how and Pastor Benjamin just sat there and smiled. Egla reassured Pastor Benjamin the gentlemen were excited about this idea. After confirming the dates and activities we headed to Pastor Oscar in Colonia de Oriente who we met two years ago while building the feeding unit. Pastor Oscar last year was able to get help from Deep Impact to finish his church building. When we arrived this year the inside still had not been completed. He wanted SS classrooms but we encouraged him to please finish the inside with a floor and a stage for the church. He and the church family have been saving money for the floor for the last year. So Tom encouraged him to continue to save his money to go towards the SS classrooms. He was very grateful for Deep Impact returning this year. He also requested an all day prayer walk in the community. This is a very large community with over 300 homes. Pray many lives will come to Christ the week of June 25-28. Pastor Oscar started his church seven years ago with a budget on how much it would cost to build this church. God is good all the time. Thankful for Deep Impact to come and help this dream come true. After leaving Pastor Oscar we had a short lunch break and then headed to San Miguel. Another pastor named Pastor Oscar shared with us we have been coming to San Miguel for about 12 years. He was excited to have us return and he requested an all day prayer walk as well along with VBS in the church and a local school. The schools in Honduras welcome the gospel of Jesus Christ to be shared with the children. We got all details finished with Pastor Oscar and we called it a day. We headed back to our home where Tom and I finalized all the details for each project. We felt like it was a very beneficial day and how God blessed every moment of the day. Deep Impact is getting closer to being here now that we have confirmed our projects.
