Worship under the mango trees

The worship service was on putting on the "Full Armor of God". This new church had 120 people present for its first worship service. A disciple named Jose and his wife, Dolce helped all week with the door to door and VBS. During the worship service Jose led the music and we found out this week how amazing and talented he is in his service to the Lord. During the worship service Marty Carty dressed down in his attire of helmet, breastplate and swords. He had the full attention of everyone present. There was 296 salvations this week. Many came to the worship service. When someone accepted Christ during the week they were provided a bible. But many came to worship who did not have bibles. So we started giving those without bibles a bible. As Marty was refering to many different scriptures in the bible we learned the people did not know where the verses could be found in the bible. Pastor David, Jose and Dolce and the rest of the disciples were busily assisting the people in finding the scripture. At the end of the service there was an invitation for anyone who wanted to accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. There was around 10 -15 that day. We are so blessed to have God's word to read daily and to be able to read. How many times do we just not bother or take the time to set down and baste in God's word. Are we too busy with work, tv, internet or just too busy working for the Lord? We all learned this week how we take God's word for granted when we saw so many who had never even had the opportunity until this week to see God's Word. This team challenges us to spend more time in God's Word and then go and make disciples of all nations.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Matthew 28:19
