Preparations for Deep Impact 2012

On February 22, 2012 Pastor Tom Beam, Deep Impact Coordinator, Larry Rick from Cramerton, NC and Pastor Brian Foreman of Forest Hills Baptist Church, Raleigh, NC arrived in Tegus. This was Brian's first trip here. We were glad to have all three gentlemen with us to get the preparations started for the summer program of Deep Impact of Honduras. We went to our home in Zamorano and Martha had prepared beans, rice and chismo for our dinner. After dinner we sat down to map out the next few days. Our first stop on February 23rd was Camp Betel. We met with Sonny to let him know how many young people and adults would be coming and to discuss the projects being conducted at the camp. Once we finished discussing and hashing over ideas Tom wanted Brian to get a tour of the camp. The picture of the two buildings connected is a feeding center for the children built by Deep Impact the prior year. Later in the year another group came down to build the medical center. The two adjacent buildings come together as one very beautiful facility. Job well done!!! Deep Impact will be bringing in around 80 plus youth and adults this summer to do VBS, construction, medical, prayer walks, and sport camps. We are grateful for the hands and feet of these young people coming to Honduras to spread the gospel of Jesus.
Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to ME shall never hunger, and he who bleieve in ME shall never thirst." John 6:35
