A New Beginning

Oakdale Baptist Church came to Choluteca, Honduras on more than a mission to build a home.  The home owner, husband and father did not know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  So before embarking to Honduras this team was praying diligently for Noa who needed a physical home but he needed a spiritual home so much more, ETERNITY.  So using the tool of building a home the team came covered in prayer and saw Noe transform in five days to a man who trusted them and came to love the foreigners who embarked on his world as he lived it on a daily basis.  This was a far cry from his day to day activities.  Oakdale came in with love for Jesus Christ which radiated this place we called the end of the world.  This was literally the last home on the road they traveled.  This lot was surrounded by God's creation of mountains, green fields and cattle grazing.  What a beautiful spot to see and feel the presence of Jesus Christ.  Noe has a lovely Christian wife named Ingris and they both have five precious children.  The team never got to meet the fifteen year old son, Marvin.  Marvin went daily to the market to find work unloading vegetables and fruit from the vendors selling to the market.  Marvin makes $6 a day to help provide for his family.  We found out later Noe does the same but took the week off to build his family's home.  When we first met Noe to inform him of receiving a home he was almost lifeless.  I shared with Mike I sure hope this guy will help build his home when the team arrives.  Noe transformed each day to who God had called him to be a godly leader of his home.  It was amazing to see the transformation which took place in his life this week.  Did he accept Christ?  Well keep reading the blog and find out the rest of the story.
