Welcome New Hope Baptist Church Youth to Choluteca Honduras

Pastor Brian Lockamy after many months of preparation with the youth of New Hope Baptist Church arrived on July 24 to build Pastor Martin, Hilpolita and their five children a home.  The project site is nestled in a corner and dead end of a dirt path.  There was shade trees along the fence area where Hilpolita immediately placed hammocks and chairs for the team.  The hospitality this Honduran family shared the first day was nothing new in terms of how people are greeted when they arrive in Honduras.  Sheri Knight shared how beautifully the Hondurans exhibit true hospitality.  As the team was unloading the truck, Hilpolita brought out a linen table cloth and gingerly placed it on a wooden table for the team to secure their water bottles.  Everyday has been this way for New Hope Baptist Church.  Pastor Martin is a humble, kind and compassionate man who is a strong leader in his home as well as the community.  There was an out pour of help from the church, the mother church and the sister church of Pastor Martin.  God blessed the team each day with a unusual breeze under the shade trees.  Always on the first day we pray over the first block and all the family and friends gathered around Pastor Martin and his family as 16 year old Jackson prayed willingly over the first block.  The leadership the entire youth group took on this week was simply amazing.  Thank you Pastor Brian for your strong leadership and preparation for this amazing week here in Honduras.  God is good all the time!!!!

"The end of things is near.  Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you can pray. Above all love each other deeply because love covers a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.  Each of you need to use whatever  gift you have to serve others as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks he should speak as the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do it with the strength that God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the power and the glory forever and ever AMEN."
I Peter 4:7-11
