All Good Things

All good things must come to an end.  On the last work day, we ask Pastor Carlos to do the devotional and what does he speak on but unity with one another.  No Pastor Carlos was not worshiping with us on Sunday because he was preaching up in Las Uvas.  It took my breath away as he shared about how we are from different cultures, backgrounds and languages but at the end of the day we serve the same God.  Wow, what a profound message follow up after Joel shared on Sunday. Pastor Carlos shared out of Ephesians 4 about the unity of the body of believers.
That evening as we walked up to the missionary house God gave us a beautiful light to lead the way, his creation, the moon.  The next morning the bus for the first time was parked out in front of the dorm to take our first team to the airport.  We got blessed for a few more days with Rodd and Rita extending their stay to continue to help us get the last minute list completed.  We are grateful for our move in team and how very hard they worked getting Mt. Horeb ready for the first team, Campbell University Medical Team.
Unity and Maturity in the Body of Christ
1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
7But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8This is why ita says:
“When he ascended on high,
he took many captives
and gave gifts to his people.”b
9(What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regionsc ? 10He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) 11So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.  Ephesians 4:1-3
