Rodd and Rita

God blessed us last fall with Rodd and Rita.  We met them through their home church who came down for the first time to help us build a home for a family.  After several discussions with Rodd we found out that he worked with us during Hurricane Fran at our home church in Raleigh.  We definitely live in a very small world.  They came to Honduras last fall and fell in love with everything about this beautiful place called Honduras.  Rita took a detour upon arriving to Honduras.  She did not get to come with her team.  But once we got her here safely Rodd's work load increased and improved immensely.  Just joking Rodd.  They worked together and separately all week.  They love the Lord our God and it radiates from their works and their words.  Rodd and Rita asked could they extend their stay a few more days.  We were blessed with them and Rita helped me sit up the pulpeia and gift shop before our first team arriving the following week.  During the week we had devotionals which Rodd and Rita both participated and shared amazing devotionals.  Rodd reflected on the "Sermon on the Mount", the Beatitudes out of Matthew 5.  His humble spirit shared how he saw The Beatitudes in each person this week while working beside them.  Rodd and Rita only knew Mike and Ginger upon their arrival to Honduras.  Now they have been blessed with five more gentlemen who have their same love for God and Honduras.  Rita shared during her devotional out of 2 Samuel 22 and 2 Samuel 14:14 how we should strive to be more like David.  Though all the things David went through as an adult he was a delight to God.  God loved him and us unconditionally.  She challenged herself as well as the team "Do we have an active relationship with God?"  Claiming the sheer pleasure of God is a privilege and a joy.  Today I hope all of you reading this know this joy Rita is referring to and will live it out in your lives because it is truly a sheer pleasure to have this gift from
