Our friend, Joel comes down yearly and spends around 25 plus days with us. He comes down with Frist Baptist Church of Raleigh and stays until the next team arrives which is made up of many different churches. Joel got the privilege the first week there to a pot of lizard soup. Fernando went up into the mountains and came back with just enough for lunch one day. Mike truly enjoyed working with Joel daily as they made a honey do list for all the different items which needed their attention.
They got up each morning had breakfast with the staff at eight while already putting in an hour of labor. Joel ate breakfast and lunch with the Honduran staff daily. He spent quality time with His Lord during his stay. He teaches an older gentlemen bible study and he was preparing for this which I think he said starts up in March or early April. Amazing the discipline Joel has set for himself with the guidance of his Heavenly Father. He paced each day out and did accordingly what God called him to do, rather be assist Mike or help Pastor Carlos worked on the prep work for the Honduran dorm floors. Joel was steadily a busy servant while he was here.
