Jay has been coming for a few years now with his father and mother. This year he got a double blessing by bringing is lovely bride Sam. Sam brought so much joy and compassion to her team. Her humble spirit was breathtaking as she shared from her heart so many times. Jay and Sam worked side by side at the job site sharing the love of Jesus Christ together. They enjoyed their time together and Sam said she was forever blessed and changed. She now knows what Jay always came home talking about after each year of being in Honduras. We love ya'll.
Please welcome this lovely couple who came for their first time to Honduras to serve their Lord together. They brought so much as a couple to the team and so much to the project as they both worked diligently for their Lord. There was not anything these two would not try to do and they did it very well. They had a very giving spirit for whatever was asked of them. They saw a need and took care of it. Ben was quiet a bit of help to Mike many times when he saw Mike in need he was there to serve at any capacity. Ben and Courtney work for themselves so this week they came to work side by side for their Lord. We love ya'll.
The Grimes family brought two new additions this year. Jay brought Sam his wife and Jimmy brought a cousin and sweet lady named Vickie. We were blessed to have Vickie this week. Vickie just like Sam worked hard beside all her new friends and soon became new family. She had not ever been on a mission trip before and was blessed by all she did and learned this week from the Honduran people. We love to see Honduras through new and fresh eyes. It helps Mike and me place things back in prospective. Vickie brought this to me especially this week. How beautiful our friends and family of Honduras truly are and how blessed we all are to have God place these beautiful people into our lives. Thank you Vickie for refreshing our eyes to see these people for who they really are, our blessings. Anita of course comes each year to spoil Mike with her homemade fresh hot chocolate chip cookies. But sadly this year Mike called it a early night because of the next day being a very busy one for the two of us. So not only were they not fresh and hot but there was only three or four of them left. Anita did save him a few. This is a family tradtion carried down for many years. Mr. Jimmy was a work horse as usual and did all he could for the team, especially cooking breakfast each and every morning. Job well done Mr. Jimmy. We love ya'll.
Brad came last year but was so blessed to return this year with a very gifted and talented wife named Andrea. They made an awesome duo as they shared and took care of each other throughout the week. They were there for each other and Brad was most concerned for Andrea during VBS and her Women's Conference because he knew how much hard work she put into each of them He supported fully with love and prayers throughout this week. They made a huge sacrifice as they both were away from their children and one had a birthday while they were gone. Brad shared they were just sitting the example of putting Jesus first in your lives. What a godly example this couple is for their family and this team they both served on so willingly. Brad was Danny's co-team leader and did an outstanding job throughout the week for and with the team. We love ya'll.
