We gathered one officer and Cortez, office along with his wife. She had come to visit him for their second wedding anniversary. The police do not work anywhere near where they live. So this lovely bride got on a bus and surprised Cortez with a quick visit and brought him a balloon for their second wedding anniversary.
Pastor Carlos gathered the ones who were there including Cristobal, Yobani and Fernando to explain why we pray over this first block. Pastor Carlos did not proceed to pray until they knew the reason behind praying over the first block. He shared how this is all God's plan not ours. We give all the glory to God not man. We give this day to God for His glory not ours. He basically prayed twice the way he was sharing why we do this. We could have someone in our group who does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and Pastor Carlos took this time to share the gospel with everyone before praying over the block. During his prayer he also prayed for Cortez's marriage vows and the importance of a godly marriage. We are truly blessed to have such godly man grounded in God's Word and radiates fruit, joy and peace everyday for us!!!!
