A Lesson in Making Tortillas

This was the first morning on the job site.  They had learned earlier how to make fish soup.  Well that was not enough for these North American girls.  They wanted to learn how to make tortillas.  They went through the entire process from beginning to end.  As I shared in another blog, Sandy made the tortillas for the day near the end of the week.  Each day Sandy along with Amanda, Andie and Heather continue learning the process of tortilla making.  But Sandy stuck with it all week and ended up buying her own tortilla press along with Amanda to take back home to make for their families.  Sandy shared how she wanted her family to see how the Hondurans truly live.  How they get up each day, collect their fire wood, get their clay stove hot ready to start cooking the tortillas for the day.  Sandy said it was such a pleasure to be apart of these sweet ladies daily activities.  Thank you all North American ladies for making our sisters in Honduras feel extra special.

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
Acts 2:46
