Bobby Makes Gatorade Soup

Oh my my my Bobby, our man in charge of the Gatorade.  Everyone wanted to help Bobby make his Gatorade.  As you saw earlier in the blog the ladies were assisting him.  It was not until Pastor Matty got involved did it get very interesting and entertaining to say the least.  So first thing that morning of the Gatorade soup, team member Angie said this does not taste right Bobby.  She stopped drinking the Gatorade and stayed with the water.  Mike and I showed up Monday afternoon to participate in VBS and visit with everyone.  Todd and Bobby were enjoying this special recipe of Gatorade.  It was not until Mike came over and got some did it take the Gatorade to a whole new level of interesting.  Mike shared how it tasted like one of the seasonings Ingrid use to cook with. But no one else was saying anything but Angie as she said she said earlier that morning it did not taste right to her at all. So Mike called Meida over to taste it to see what she thought.  Meida immediately shared it tasted like one of the seasonings you would cook with.  Well here came Joel wanting to try it.  I tasted it as well.  Everyone was getting involved in the taste test.  By this time the cooler of Gatorade was almost gone.  Mike opened the lead to the Gatorade to find a thick red slush sitting in the bottom of the cooler.  Mike proceeded to ask Bobby what did he put in the cooler of Gatorade.  Bobby told him Gatorade.  Mike said, "Are you sure, only Gatorade is in here?"  Bobby said, "Yes I am sure."  This went on for a while. Mike said "where in the kitchen did you get the Gatorade?"  I think on the shelf Bobby shared.  Finally, "Bobby was anyone else helping you mix the Gatorade?" asked Mike.  Bobby would not even answer Mike.  Finally this very innocent young man sitting observing the whole thing raised his hand.  This was none other than Pastor Matty.  Pastor Matty went in the kitchen to get Bobby the container of Gatorade and rightly he got a container which looked like a container of Gatorade.  Once Mike found out what container he pulled the Gatorade from all the mystery of the special Gatorade came together.  Our cook Ingrid, puts her special recipe of seasonings in a Gatorade container in the shelves near the stove.  This is the Gatorade container Pastor Matty pulled off the shelf.  We all burst into laughter as we realized what everyone had been drinking all day.  Everyone ran over to see inside the cooler of Gatorade to see the red slush.  We all could not quit talking about it and laughing about it even as we went into VBS Bobby was still laughing so hard about what had just happened.  The sweetest part of this story which surely was not the Gatorade was Bobby knew that Pastor Matty had helped him but he did not say a word.  He was going to take one for the team.  This goes back to what Pastor Matty shared about Bobby during Bobby's devotional one evening.  Bobby is a genuine godly man. who brings joy to all people he meets, he is faithful to God and to his friend Pastor Matty and he is a here am I send me God attitude.  Bobby is who we all want to be like when we grow up, just like Bobby always joyful and wearing the most beautiful smile that only God could paint on his face.  We love you Bobby and you brought all of us pure joy and laughter on the Sunday School Classroom that Monday afternoon.  This is a memory I will always treasure.
I am not sure if Ingrid will continue to keep her seasonings in Gatorade containers anymore though!
