Preparing For Pilla Baptism

While some were eating chicken soup there was some getting the pilla ready for the baptismal.  Edwin and Pastor Jose's son and Mike were busy at work scrubbing the sides of the walls of the pilla getting the gunk off the sides of it where it has sat in the hot sun.  Finally Martinis brought two bags of Clorox to put in the water to get clean and sanitized for the big event. This did not happen until it was time to start the ceremony.  So after it was clean out the process of filling the pill back up took another twenty minutes.  The North Americans was wondering how all this was going to unfold, baptismal, VBS and the Lord' Supper as well had been added to the day of special events.  Pastor Jose very calmly walked around taking care of the small details. He never wavered as all his planning for his Lord came together into one beautiful flow of events.

Pastor Matty and Joel, translator went over last minute details for the baptismal making sure everything was going to translate accordingly.  Sarah even did her part by holding one of the women getting baptized little one.  This little cutie was five months old and now her mommy was going to raise her in a Christian home and raise her in a church where the Word of God is preached.  She will get to go to Sunday School and learn songs and Bible verses with other children.  This was a blessing for me to see all of this unfold right before our eyes.  Angie was getting her last minute words of encouragement with her two new sisters in Christ.  This team was so blessed in so many different ways this week all for the glory of God.  They prepared and God sent them and they got to reap the harvest of many lives being forever changed simply because eight North Americans went to the inner most parts of the world, three amazing godly translators and Pastor Jose and his church family who all were equipped before this week even took place.  God had all this planned out and all of these people were obedient to God's calling to go and make disciples.
