Lunchtime Devotional

Because of the huge number of young adults wanting to come to Honduras there was two devotionals a day.  One in the evening and one at the two different job sites.  Mike and I got blessed to be at the one Tyler did out in the streets of Cedeno.  We gathered around him as so did the local children.  Tyler shared from the book of Job.   Pastor Brian got to sit with  our new friend Emerson who it took a whole village to keep him out of trouble.  Everyone listened intently as Tyler shared from God's Word how we are here in a different place serving our Lord just as Job did.  Job lost everything but stay faithful to God through it all.  We as well need to stay faithful to God this week in Honduras as we are the hands and feet of Jesus in a different environment and culture.  We have to learn to adapt to where we are now and God will guide and protect our willingness to serve Him here.  If we are obedient to the calling then we like Job will receive more than we deserve in blessings from God.  We are not talking tangible but treasures in Heaven.  Great job Tyler in sharing God's Word from your heart.
The first evening Justin L. shared an amazing devotional about just simply being still and being in the presence of God.  He encouraged his friends to make time for God this week and be still in His presence.  To be able to listen to that voice of our Lord and Savior in our daily tasks as we go about serving here in Honduras.  Each evening we were blessed from God's Word by our young people.  Avery shared one of Mr. Mike's favorite bible verses Acts 1:8  "You shall be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea Samaria and unto the ends of the earth."  She shared with her team this is what we are doing this week going to the ends of the earth to share the love of Jesus Christ with these people in Honduras.  We are forever blessed with how these young people come down ready and prepared at a minutes notice to do devotionals and share their testimonies before complete strangers.
