The first day of VBS in Colonia Williams was a huge success and proceeded to take it out to one of the biggest soccer fields around this area. Danielle was in charge of the recreation part of the afternoon fun. She broke the team up into three groups at first and then adjusted the groups into four groups, once they realized the older boys only wanted to play soccer. There was a rely game led by Karen, Payton and Addison. There was this humongous soccer ball that the children absolutely loved which all they did was throw it up in the air where Sunny, Nick and Carson were in charge until Nick and Carson got promoted to soccer with the older boys. Danielle started out with the smallest ones with the help of Rebecca Pastor Randy and Pastor Ramon. After about thirty minutes the groups rotated around and did that one more time until all children had been to the three stations. Pastor Randy shared this was harder work than building the home. Pastor Randy's wife Karen shared how they were hot in the heat of the day with these precious children, never took a water break or thought about being too hot like that did at the construction site. Being with this beautiful children of Honduras is rewarding and yes it can be tiring. They have so much natural energy. They play outside all the time. They do not have much assess to television, video games or other technology devices. They simply know how to truly play outside and be children. What a blessing these children are to all of us teaching us how to truly be children.
