The team gathered mid morning to lay hands on the first block to be laid for the week ahead. This was the first time this group of young people had the opportunity to pray over a first block. In the past they helped build a church and put a floor down in the North American Dorm. During God moments that evening several of them shared how humbling this was to be a part of such a godly act of service and to watch Marie place her hand on the future of her home. Peyton shared there was a different language between the two groups but we all serve the same God. We need to be more intentional with our gratitude like Marie was on that first day. She continuously was thanking God for her new home and for this team coming to help make this dream become a reality.
Bethany's devotion that night share how God provides with abundance when we give our all to HIM. She shared about feeding the five thousand. We can be filled like the five thousand from the experiences this week if we allowed God to use us like He used the disciples in feeding the five thousand.
The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.
