Welcome To Las Prados

Last November 2015 we visited a community called Las Prados.  This was our first time visiting this area in our seven years working for North Carolina Baptist on Missions.  Pastor Martin met us at the church with about five solicitations.  We started and went through each one.  There was three homes, a SS classroom need and a church plant need as well.  There was one of the solicitations that was six years old.  I shared with Pastor Martin I want to meet this family.  We finally met this family and they were the only family who did not have their papers for their property.  But their solicitation was the oldest one.  I looked at the father of the family, Orlin and said I need you to work on getting your papers because God first and then Mike and I want to build you a home in 2016.  We returned in January of 2016 and we got word they had their papers.  Well than we had to decide who we could put there who would be willing to travel an hour and fifteen minutes one way.  The ride to Las Prados was beautiful but the ride would be a long one for a team.  I asked team leader of New Hope Baptist Church, Ron, if they would be willing to travel quiet a distance to build this family's home.  Ron shared they would love to travel to build Orlin and his family a home. Thank you New Hope Baptist Church team for your flexibility to accept this calling for your team project.

"And may your hearts be fully committed to the LORD our God, to live by his decrees and obey his commands, as at this time."
1 Kings 8:61
