Finishing Touches

First time in our ten years Mike got two buckets of water and went to cure the floor.  Sr. Domingo definitely could not do this himself and his family had not taken the time to do it for him.  Mike just like the rest of this team saw what needed to be done and went to do it to help Sr. Domingo become a complete home in every way.  Home town boy, Casey and Brennan were the elects to go up and put the roof on the home.  As we looked back over this past week we were all amazed how God built a home but built a lasting relationship with a humble godly couple of forty two years.  I have repeated myself several times about how many years they have been married.  This is a huge accomplishment in this day and age we live in, here in Honduras and in North America.  Please reflect their last forty two years living and raising children without a secure home.  But as this day is starting to unfold this couple will now have the home they have prayed for many years.  They are a faithful couple together to God first and their church family.  Whenever we put God at the forefront at the center of anything especially our marriages we will be truly blessed.  Did I say this would be an easy task?  Not at all but with God's help we all can survive whatever is put before us whether a marriage, a desire for a home or even a meal on the table daily.  There is not anything to big for God who is the Creator of the entire world we live in.  Until you have breathed, smelt, tasted and endured the scorching heat of this beautiful country you cannot truly understand what we say when we finish a project as this and see joy all around us.  I am talking pure sweet joy in Jesus Christ's provision in your life.  We as North Americans are too self sufficient and don't need God to help us with anything.  This week this team saw what it was like to truly rely on God for all your needs, whether it was a home or a child wanting to play a game of soccer.  True JOY is found in Jesus Christ when we are obedient to HIS WILL for our lives.
