Rodd and Rita

What a blessing to have Rodd and Rita back with us again to serve our Lord.  But this year we had two new guests to Mount Horeb, Cameron and Aubrey, Rodd and Rita's son and daughter in law.  As this week unfold Rodd and Rita praised God for an answered prayer of Cameron coming to Honduras with them, but it was a double blessing for Cameron to bring along his new bride Aubrey.  Cameron immediately connected with the mescal crew, Eddie and Sammie, and built relationships that week with the two of them.  We had been on the project the first day a little over an hour and I looked over at the mescal crew and they were taking a coke break.  Someone had brought all them a coke in a bag to drink and there was Cameron blending right in with them.  Cameron shared so many God moments this week but the most amazing God moment of all was when he shared how Aubrey rededicated her life to the Lord while here in Honduras.  Aubrey shared how Rome's devotional changed her life and she knew she needed to find that true joy and peace which can only come through Jesus Christ, as Rome shared during his devotional.  Cameron shared during his devotional one evening how it would be great for Eddie and Sammie and Berto to remember him but it would be even better for them to remember Jesus and Jesus only.  God's Spirit is with us here in Honduras, the sunsets, the sunrises and the quietness of the mornings while the birds are waking up singing to us.  But this same Spirit is back home as well, we don't need to let the fire die once we return home.  We need to share the love of Jesus with whomever we come in contact with at work, school or at the grocery store.  Cameron shared how the home built is temporal but the Spirit filled week we just had is eternal.  Cameron is a young man who shared the gospel during his devotional one evening and bringing Aubrey with him on his first international mission trip is a great way to start out a marriage.  They will have so many memories to share from this week as a young married couple and what a witness it will be for other young couples when they share their week in Honduras.  They will not share they built a home but they built lasting relationships with people from another culture, another language but the same God!!!!   Rodd and Rita you both have to be so proud of these two.  We love all of you and look forward to many more years of serving the Lord with your family.
