Greeting and Meeting Domingo and Marie

As Domingo had settled in under the trees in his hammock the team members made their way over to him to introduce themselves individually.  All fourteen team members squatted down on his level with a out shaken hand to share with Domingo their name and how blessed they were here this week to assist he and Marie in the new home.  Sr. Domingo in return introduced himself by name and thanked God first for each of them and how God brought them his way.  After all fourteen introduced themselves Pastor Carlos went over to Sr. Domingo and got him up out of his hammock and walked him over to the circle to pray up and start his home.  Mike asked Sr. Domingo did he have anything to share with the team this bright and beautiful Honduran morning.  Sr. Domingo first thanked God for this opportunity and he thanked God for Pastor Carlos who he said he loved so very much and was grateful on how much he takes good care of himself and his lovely wife Marie of forty two years. There was not a dry eye at that point as we gathered around to pray up the beginning of a blessed and humbling week.  Pastor Larry's devotional that evening was about Paul and how all Paul needed was Jesus in his life.  Sr. Domingo obviously relies solely on Jesus Christ for all his daily needs.  When Sr. Domingo spoke his voice was mighty strong coming from such a frail body.  This was the spirit of the Lord speaking through this eighty seven year old young man.  Brian walked away from that time of prayer and said, "The Holy Spirit was definitely in this place."  Amen y amen!!!!  All we truly need is Jesus.  Do we rely solely on Jesus as Sr. Domingo and Paul in the Bible did?  If not today is the day for you to rely solely on your Lord if you are a believer in Jesus Christ for all your needs, big or small.  God has got it through the blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross and the Resurrection.  One of the songs we sang that evening was "Draw Me Closer to You".  My only desires is I can truly rely on God for all my needs as Sr. Domingo exhibits daily.
