As this week progressed the team witnessed the walls going up on the house but the walls coming down from the family and new friends in building relationships. Each day the barriers kept chiseling away and there was more smiles and laughter each and every day. Donna shared how on the second day she brought out her bubbles and immediately made some new friends. Bubbles are a very special treat here in Honduras. This was especially the case in Tapitoca where very little North American influence had entered this area. The earth ball brought on a lot of fun had by all. The children became more and more trusting of these new people who definitely looked differently from them and spoke very differently from them. The different barriers slowly started coming down as each day progressed. They started earning the trust of these folks who came to build them a home but also wanted to build a relationship with each and every one of them.
But all this relationship building and trust building is great but the most important relationship in our lives is the one we have with Jesus Christ. If you are reading this today and you know about Jesus or know of HIM but do not have a personal relationship with HIM I encourage you today to find someone and find out about this man who died a brutal death for you and me so we could have eternal life one day with HIM. If you do not have this relationship with Jesus Christ I pray today is your day to receive the greatest gift of all, the greatest relationship of all, JESUS!!!!
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
