Dr. Suzette and Dawana had an opportunity on the third day of the dental clinic. Dawana called her first patient to come over and the lady sat down and the chair collapsed underneath her. Dawana and Sylvia went to work trying to get it to stay up right. Sylvia brought a piece of their luggage over and propped it under the chair. I shared with Dawana before they got the chair propped up with the suitcase where is Mike. But the team had a problem with one of their generator's as well. So Mike and Jose were on a mission to San Lorenzo a neighboring town to find a part for it. Mike returns and as I knew he happened to look over at the suitcase under the chair and said what's up with the chair. Dawana and I just smiled and in five minutes the maintenance crew had come through again.
There is nothing God cannot do when we are serving HIM. These folks had many opportunities similar to this chair problem this week. Not one time did this stop this dental team from doing what God had called them to do make these people leave with a beautiful smile on their face. In Dawana's morning devotion she shared God does not call the qualified but the unqualified to serve HIM. He took us with what we had and made us into a team to bring the smiles back into these people's faces. They would come in with mouth closed and leave out with a huge smile on their faces. A chair problem, an unit shut down or power going out for hours did not stop this dental team from serving the Lord to the very best of their abilities because God equipped them through His glorious power and Holy Spirit.
